Bellepheron University is one of currently two universities that teach aspiring magus(modern-day mages) how to refine their crafts to better or protect mankind and has been around and renown for a century now.
Magick has been around for centuries and beings thought of as mythical and make-believe exist in neighboring alternate overlapping planes such as the Spirit Plane, the Underworld and the Heroes Plane, and others, all of which are beginning to show signs of mild opening to our's--flickering spectral images of spirits, demons and resting heroes, deities, mythical creatures and monsters can be seen in certain areas where the veil is thin, and can sometimes come through if their power is great enough!
Mages and would-be mages that lack natural ability can contract to some of these beings, acquiring supplementary magickal circuitry which allows for the use of magick, special techniques, supernatural abilities and natural gifts.
