ESPERs are neither Mages nor MAGUS, as they are humans who have gained the ability to influence themselves or their surroundings with their mana without the use or knowledge of a magic circle, glyph or incantation. ESPERs generally have one primary ability and are still quite capable of casting spells(even while using their gift) or altering the affinity of their ability with a spell.
